Dec 25th is coming.. Christmas that is.. The day which celebrates the birth of our Saviour.
For this year’s xmas, things may not be so well as we wld all like. With the increasing risk of terrorist threats and other tragedies striking, it makes one wonder abt the significance of this yr’s xmas.
Nonetheless, X’mas is still a day to mark the birth of our Saviour. In the midst of all e tragedies and confusion that is going around, we still have alot of things we should be thankful for.
I understand it can be hard to appreciate what we have when we’re not happy with our lives, but once again, it’s all about what we focus on and what we attract. The more appreciative we can be about our existing circumstances, the more we will attract things to appreciate.
If you have to, start with something small and obvious. Each morning when you awake, say something like, “I appreciate the opportunity to live another day. I appreciate the bed I slept in all night. I’m grateful that I can take a hot shower and put on clean clothes today.”
As you go about your day, take a moment to appreciate everything you can, no matter how small and insignificant it may seem. Over time, this puts you in a gratitude mindset and will begin to attract more and more things to appreciate - and more often than not, those things continue to get bigger and bigger the more you keep up with this practice.
Thus, whatever your plans are for this year’s X’mas, I really hope u have an enjoyable Xmas. But while u are enjoying, take this day to remember the people around you and who have been part of your life some way or another.
It could be your parents, siblings, friends, spouse, neighbour, or even the security guard protecting your house. Take this day to show your gratitude to them.
I feel that we often have this tendency to take one another for granted. Myself included. We sometimes get too caught up with our pursuit for success that we don’t even bother to slow down and express appreciation for ppl around us.
Honestly, it costs nothing simply to smile, say thank you or I love you. Hence, let your loved ones know how much u care for them and start displaying your gratitude from today onwards! This small little things really makes a difference in others’ lives and can indeed brighten someone else’s day.
So let this day be a day of celebration which is filled with love and appreciation. Regardless of who u are spending it with, or where you are celebrating, I wish you have a blessed and wonderful christmas ahead! Merry X’mas!
