Full Time Internet Marketer for 3 Months!

YiPeEeEe…. This blog is back and alive n kickin!!!! Cos my exams are over!! Phew… What a relief.. These two weeks have been really tough for me, as I tried my best to restrain from using my laptop too much due to exams. Hence, that explains the severe lack of posts on this blog.
But glad to announce that my exams are officially over! Which also means a lengthy summer hols of 3 and 1/2 months! WoOoHoo.. Up till now I’m still amazed at how long the Uni hols can be. The last summer hols I had in Year 1, there was the World Cup to occupy my time. Also worked as a tele-surveyor at a marketing research company and that was when I realized how much companies are willing to spend on market research.
I was paid $8.50 per survey done and earned $2300 in a month. (minus weekends and my Bangkok trip) My fellow colleague from my school earned $3500 within the same time frame! Unbelievable if you asked me. Nonetheless, that was certainly a humbling experience as I almost literally begged people to do surveys on the phone. And each survey lasted for around 15 mins. Not to mention there were countless rejects and several nasty respondents as well.
Hence, I learnt to deal with rejection and was soon immune to them. Trust me, you will learn to be immune to them as on average, I get rejected 20 plus times before getting a successful survey done. I also learnt how to deal with people with a foul temper and how to remain my cool regardless of how terrible the situation is. I’m not kidding when I say I developed a slight phobia even to answering normal phone calls back then.
Nonetheless, this summer hols, I don’t have to go through that ordeal again. It feels great to know that while most of my peers will be going on various internships, I will be embarking on something more exciting and rewarding. Yes, full time internet marketing! And this further strengthens my commitment to building a successful business even before I graduate.
Got tons of exciting plans to be unveiled and launched! Firstly, there’s going to be a slight change in the direction of this blog. This blog was started in line with my internet marketing efforts. Hence, it was originally meant to blog about internet marketing. However, as time passed, I realised that by blogging solely about internet marketing might dilute the various burning issues that I wish to share and discuss. Most importantly, as this blog is named ‘The Insights Of Calvin Woon’, certainly the insights that I have does not solely represent those of internet marketing.
Thus, the focus of this blog shall be in line with its name ‘The Insights Of Calvin Woon’. So it should cover all my insights on life, entrepreneurship, offline marketing, business, wealth creation and anything in particular. Nonetheless, it will be geared more towards personal development, which I feel is an essential component of life. Hence, I sincerely hope that through this blog, I’m able to inspire, motivate, as well as reach out to others who need that extra push to attain the success that they desire.
And this also gives me the room to discuss some of the light-hearted issues and also gives more room for creativity and humour.
With that being said, I will be lauching a separate internet marketing blog which I have been building content on. Hence, that will be the blog where I share my Internet Marketing experiences and learnings. Shall post the link in a few days time!
I will also be revamping my ‘7 Ways To Earn Money Online‘ package, a set of eBooks which Patricia and I co-wrote. As it was our pioneer product, it certainly can’t be perfect. Hence, will be making a couple of improvements and updates to it. Now looking at the sales page, I realized there’s certainly much to be improved on so you can expect a major revamp to it. Nonetheless, coming up with that package was a tremendous effort and achievement on our part. And the best form of encouragement was when we received compliments from our customers who have benefitted from it. Hence, we’ll never stop adding value to others!
Other than improving on our current product, we’ll also be busy with a huge product launch some time in July. I’m really excited about this as I can really foresee it being our breakthrough. Hence, the bulk of our efforts will be concentrated on this product launch. We’ll be collabarating with another partner of ours for that and we’ll be starting a company together too!
Apart from all these launches and product development, much learning also has to be done. There are a couple of useful eBooks which I feel would add value to my business which are waiting to be read. After these 3 months, we’ll definitely be able to establish ourselves as SEO and copywriting experts, two areas which I feel is vital to any internet marketer.
We’ll also be attending two huge seminars. One an internet marketing seminar in May, and another on the Art of Influence. Will be revealing more in my next post! So stay tuned!
Oh yah, pls do come back often for constant blog updates. As I’ve already made a commitment to blog at least a post everyday. So if you happen to come and realize I did not blog for a day, email me and I’ll buy you a drink!

Yeah, Uni’s vacation is indeed very long. Some of the friends I knew just wasted the 3 months away by partying and doing nothing, not even a part-time job!
After my IA ended, I will also be a full-time marketer for 2 months.
